The posting

Are you an experienced manufacturing leader with a strong track record in regulated production environments? This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of production operations, drive operational excellence, and lead high-performing manufacturing teams in a technically sophisticated environment.

We are looking for a Senior Production Manager who can combine strong people leadership with hands-on expertise in production troubleshooting, process improvement, quality, and manufacturing operations. Candidates from medical device, biotechnology, life sciences, microelectronics, precision engineering, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Lead day-to-day production operations to ensure reliable, efficient output aligned with production schedules and business demand.
  • Drive troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for production, equipment, process, and quality issues, implementing effective and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Act as a key escalation point for technical and process challenges, leveraging knowledge across mechanical, electrical, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
  • Lead, develop, coach, and mentor production supervisors and manufacturing teams while fostering a strong culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Plan production activities, priorities, sequencing, manpower, and capacity across multiple product lines.
  • Establish and continuously improve SOPs, work practices, process controls, and quality standards for new and existing products.
  • Manage departmental budgets, manpower planning, capacity requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Optimise production layouts, workflows, equipment utilisation, and processes to support operational efficiency and new product introductions.
  • Drive productivity and cost improvement initiatives through better utilisation of labour, equipment, and manufacturing resources.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Planning, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, and other stakeholders to resolve operational challenges.
  • Support strategic manufacturing initiatives such as production transfers, product transitions, capacity expansion, and end-of-life planning.
  • Recommend and implement capital equipment and process improvements to enhance productivity and manufacturing capability.
  • Ensure manufacturing activities comply with applicable quality, safety, regulatory, and hazardous-material handling requirements.
  • Provide clear operational direction and effectively communicate priorities, challenges, and solutions across different functions and levels of the organisation.
  • Champion Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, continuous improvement, and structured problem-solving initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of manufacturing or production experience, ideally within a regulated or highly controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience in people leadership and production team management, preferably with 8–10 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production equipment, process deviations, and quality issues.
  • Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving capabilities across mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with manufacturing systems such as SAP or other ERP/materials management systems.
  • Familiarity with chemical, instrumentation, equipment, facility, or other technically complex production processes.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems and regulated manufacturing requirements.
  • Experience with ISO 13485 and/or FDA-regulated manufacturing environments will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge or practical experience in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, continuous improvement, and quality improvement projects is preferred.
  • Green Belt certification will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in common business and manufacturing software, including Microsoft Office and relevant production systems.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

Take on a strategic production leadership role where you will have the opportunity to shape manufacturing performance, develop teams, solve complex operational challenges, and drive continuous improvement across a technically advanced production environment.

If your experience comes from medical devices, biotech, life sciences, microelectronics, precision manufacturing, or another regulated industry, and you are ready for your next production leadership challenge, we would be keen to hear from you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
