The posting

1. Role Summary

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take full ownership of the quantity surveying functions across our facade projects — performing accurate quantity take-offs, preparing Bills of Quantities, evaluating quotations, and managing interim and final accounts. This role reports to the Contract & Procurement Department Manager and works closely with the Contract Manager, project teams, and subcontractors to safeguard the commercial interests of the company.

The ideal candidate comes from a curtain wall / facade specialist background. Candidates with main contractor experience and strong quantity surveying capabilities are also welcome to apply.

2. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be accountable for the following key areas:

2.1 Quantity Take-Off & Measurement

· Perform accurate quantity take-offs and measurement for facade based on architectural and structural drawings

· Verify quantities against contract drawings, specifications, and site conditions

· Prepare and maintain measurement records and take-off sheets for tender and project use

2.3 Cost Control & Valuation

· Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to clients

· Assess and certify subcontractors' monthly progress payments

· Evaluate variation orders, prepare cost impact assessments, and support the Contract Manager in change management

· Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost-to-complete estimates for management review

2.4 Interim & Final Accounts

· Manage measurement, valuation, and agreement of interim and final accounts with clients and subcontractors

· Prepare final account documentation, including reconciliation of variations and claims

· Support the preparation of EOT and claims submissions by providing accurate QS data

4. Requirements

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

4.1 Education & Qualifications

· Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline

· Membership or accreditation with SISV, RICS, or equivalent professional bodies is an advantage

4.2 Experience

· Minimum 5–8 years of quantity surveying experience in the Singapore construction industry

· Preferred: Experience in curtain wall / facade specialist contracting

· Also Acceptable: Experience with main contractors with strong commercial and QS skills

· Hands-on experience in tender preparation, progress claims, variation management, and final accounts

4.3 Technical Skills

· Strong measurement and quantity take-off skills

· Familiarity with Singapore standard forms of contract (SIA Conditions, PSSCOC, etc.)

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with QS software (e.g., Cubit, CostX, Buildsoft) is an advantage

· Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings; knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus

4.4 Soft Skills

· Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills

· Meticulous and detail-oriented, with a high standard of accuracy

· Good communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with clients, consultants, and subcontractors

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
