🚗 REGIONAL SALES MANAGER – METALS | AUTOMOTIVE & EV Singapore | Indonesia & ASEAN Coverage

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced metals commercial professional to drive the growth of an established international trading organisation’s automotive steel business across Indonesia and ASEAN.

This is an opportunity for a commercially driven professional with strong relationships across the automotive and EV ecosystem, particularly OEMs, Tier-1 and Tier-2 customers.

THE ROLE

  • Develop and grow the automotive steel business across Indonesia and ASEAN
  • Build and deepen relationships with automotive & EV OEMs, Tier-1 and Tier-2 customers
  • Identify and develop new customers, markets and business opportunities
  • Manage commercial activities covering galvanized, coated, painted and specialty automotive steel
  • Work closely with regional and international steel mills and suppliers
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and supply agreements
  • Manage physical transactions, margins and commercial considerations
  • Identify opportunities in EV-related applications and advanced high-strength steel
  • Work closely with operations, logistics, finance and credit teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Develop long-term customer and supplier relationships across the region

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Degree holder
  • 8–10+ years of relevant metals / steel commercial experience
  • Strong experience in automotive steel, industrial steel or related metal products
  • Good knowledge of galvanized, coated, painted or specialty steel products
  • Established relationships with automotive / EV OEMs, Tier-1 and Tier-2 customers
  • Strong Indonesia and/or ASEAN commercial network
  • Experience in regional sales, business development, steel trading or commercial management
  • Strong understanding of pricing, negotiation and physical supply
  • Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts
  • Entrepreneurial, commercially minded and comfortable developing business in growth markets

BACKGROUND

Candidates from international trading houses, steel mills, automotive steel service centres, specialist steel /Automotive trading companies and automotive/industrial materials businesses are welcome.

We are particularly interested in professionals who combine strong automotive customer relationships with practical knowledge of steel and regional commercial development.

If you have strong automotive/EV relationships but your current title is Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Commercial Manager, Key Account Manager or Regional Sales Manager, we would also be interested to hear from you.
