The posting

Role Summary

This role combines design capability with sales ownership. You will manage enquiries, conduct client consultations, propose design value, prepare quotations, and convert leads into signed projects, then carry projects through concept-to-completion.

Key Responsibilities

Lead & Sales Conversion

  • Handle incoming sales enquiries, qualify leads, arrange meetings, and build strong rapport with homeowners.
  • Provide client-facing design consultation (space planning + concept direction) to demonstrate value and build trust.
  • Prepare and present conceptual design proposals aligned with client requirements and lifestyle needs.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and renovation schedules; manage scope discussions, negotiate, and close sales.
  • Maintain a clean pipeline with follow-ups, meeting notes, next steps, and conversion tracking

Design & Project Ownership (Post-Sale)

  • Undertake design projects from conceptualisation to completion (or concept + handover).
  • Advise clients on space planning, layout optimisation, and design concepts.
  • Assist in materials proposal, product recommendations, and sourcing aligned to the concept, budget, and site requirements.
  • Manage client expectations on budget, timeline, and scope control, ensuring clarity across the project journey.

Design & Project Timeline Management

  • Manage and plan the design development process in alignment with the overall project and renovation timeline.
  • Ensure design milestones (concept, drawings, material selections, approvals) are structured to support smooth site execution and on-time handover.
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure design intent, site works, and installation schedules are coordinated and aligned.
  • Anticipate potential timeline risks and address them early to minimise delays during construction and handover.

Coordination, Site & Delivery Management

  • Coordinate renovation schedules with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring work is well sequenced and completed within the agreed timeline.
  • Work closely with internal teams, the drafters and 3D renderer team, project coordinators, and external vendors to ensure clear communication and smooth execution.
  • Oversee the coordination and logistics of product deliveries and on-site installations, ensuring readiness and alignment with project progress.
  • Travel to the site during the renovation period as required to support coordination, resolve on-site matters, and ensure execution aligns with the approved design and scope.

Reporting & Stakeholder Updates

  • Provide regular project status updates to the Design Director.
  • Provide daily and weekly task updates and progress to the Design Director.

Requirements

  • Min 5 years’ experience in interior design sales or client-facing interior design role preferred.
  • Comfortable with sales targets, client presentations, and consistent follow-ups; sales-driven and self-motivated.
  • Solid design competency in space planning, concept proposal, and costing logic.
  • Able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and timelines concurrently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in a team.
  • Willing to attend to client enquiries outside standard working hours when required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience handling end-to-end projects (sales, design, and execution) is an advantage.
  • Portfolio submission is preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
