The posting

1. Site & Project Operations

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of multiple worksites/projects on Jurong Island.
  • Ensure site activities are carried out according to project schedules, work scopes and client requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, tools and materials required for site works.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure projects are completed within the required timeline.

2. Manpower Management

  • Plan and manage manpower deployment across different sites and projects.
  • Coordinate with Site Supervisors, Foremen and Operations teams on daily manpower requirements.
  • Monitor attendance, overtime, productivity and manpower utilisation.
  • Ensure sufficient manpower is available to meet project requirements.

3. Client Management

  • Act as the main operational contact for clients on site-related matters.
  • Liaise with clients regarding work schedules, manpower requirements, site access and operational issues.
  • Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress and manpower deployment.
  • Handle client feedback, complaints and operational issues.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure site activities comply with Jurong Island/site requirements, client safety rules and company WSH procedures.
  • Work closely with WSH/Safety personnel to maintain safe working conditions.
  • Ensure workers have the required training, permits, passes and certifications before deployment.
  • Take appropriate action when unsafe practices or site issues are identified.

5. Site Supervision & Performance

  • Lead and guide Site Supervisors and operations personnel.
  • Monitor productivity and quality of work.
  • Conduct regular site visits to check work progress and site conditions.
  • Identify operational problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Improve manpower utilisation and overall site efficiency.

6. Equipment & Resources

  • Coordinate the availability and utilisation of tools, equipment, vehicles and other resources.
  • Monitor equipment requirements and ensure resources are available when required.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments for maintenance, replacement or additional resources.

7. Management & Reporting

  • Prepare regular reports on project progress, manpower, man-hours, productivity and operational issues.
  • Provide management with updates on project status and potential risks.
  • Assist management in planning manpower and operational requirements for upcoming projects.
  • Support business development by providing operational input for new project tenders and quotations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Key Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Construction Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in site operations, preferably in process plant, oil & gas, petrochemical or engineering services.
  • Experience working on Jurong Island and dealing with major plant/client requirements would be an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and site teams simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
