Who We Are

The SHECARES Centre, an initiative by SG Her Empowerment Limited, is Singapore’s only dedicated support centre offering trauma-informed care and coordinated pathways for all survivors (children, youth, men and women) of online harms, including impersonation, cyberbullying, image-based sexual abuse, and doxxing.

We provide a safe, confidential environment for survivors navigating their healing journeys through our helpline, textline, and face-to-face counselling. In partnership with Pro Bono SG, we also offer pro bono legal support. Where needed, we guide survivors through reporting processes with law enforcement and social media platforms.

Beyond direct support, SHECARES connects individuals with community resources, conducts public education, and delivers training for community partners. Our work is embedded in SHE’s broader advocacy and research mission — meaning this team contributes to sector-wide change, not just individual cases.

About the Roles

We are hiring for two permanent positions and welcome both male and female applicants. Both roles centre on direct survivor support through case management, crisis intervention, and community coordination. The Senior role additionally takes on supervisory responsibilities and contributes to service development.

Candidates will be assessed and placed at the appropriate level based on experience and suitability.

1) Social Service Executive/ Social Worker

Case Management & Client Support

  • Provide direct support to clients via helpline and textline.
  • Conduct initial assessments and develop individualised care or intervention plans in collaboration with clients, counsellors and relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate referrals to legal, psychological, medical, and community services, including with ProBono SG for legal clinics.
  • Guide clients through reporting processes with law enforcement and social media platforms.
  • Ensure proper case documentation, adherence to protocols, and compliance with data protection requirements.

Centre Operations

  • Coordinate appointments, client follow-ups, and daily workflow within the centre.
  • Assist in implementing operational procedures to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Support the Senior Social Service Executive in case coordination and programme activities.

Partnerships, Community Engagement & Education

  • Participate in public education and outreach activities on online harms.
  • Collaborate with community partners and agencies to ensure holistic support for clients.
  • Contribute to advocacy efforts and work alongside SHE’s research team where relevant.

2) Senior Social Service Executive/ Senior Social Worker

All responsibilities of the Social Service Executive role, plus:

Case Management & Client Support

  • Oversee and manage complex cases, ensuring trauma-informed and client-centred practice throughout.
  • Provide guidance to social service executives and interns on case management and crisis interventions.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualised care or intervention plans, and coordinate care for clients requiring multi-agency support.

Centre Operations

  • Develop, review, and implement operational procedures and service guidelines to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor case trends and provide input to strengthen centre protocols and interventions.
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for clients and staff.

Partnerships, Community Engagement & Education

  • Represent the centre at inter-agency meetings, case conferences, and sector engagements.
  • Work closely with community partners, agencies, and stakeholders to coordinate holistic support for clients.
  • Support the planning and delivery of public education, training sessions, and outreach initiatives on online harms.
  • Work closely with the SHE team to inform sector-wide efforts.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, supporting their professional development.
  • Contribute to reflective practice, case discussions, and continuous service improvement.
  • Support the management team in the smooth running of the centre.

What We’re Looking For:

Personal Attributes

  • Genuine passion for empowering survivors; committed to trauma-informed, gender-sensitive practice.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Growth mindset — open to learning and willing to explore new approaches.
  • Willingness to contribute to and participate in advocacy work —briefings, presentations, trainings etc.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil.

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related discipline.
  • Social Service Executive / Social Worker: Minimum 2 years’ experience in case management, preferably in victim support, trauma, or crisis intervention. Fresh graduates with the right disposition will be considered.
  • Senior Social Service Executive / Senior Social Worker: At least 5 years’ experience, with demonstrated ability to supervise others and manage complex cases.
  • Strong ability to build trusting, therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Able to manage sensitive information and respond to crises with calm professionalism.
  • Experience supporting survivors of online harms is an advantage.
  • Open to Singaporean and PR only.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
