Senior Utilities & Facilities Technician, Singapore

As a Senior Utilities &Facilities Technician, you will take ownership of critical utility and facilities operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, high-impact role combining technical expertise with leadership. You will troubleshoot and maintain a diverse range of systems from boilers and chillers to wastewater treatment and ACMV while also managing contractors and driving continuous improvement through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)initiatives. It is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on technician ready to step into a role that blends field expertise with people leadership and project ownership.

The Position:

  • Daily operations of utility equipment such as boilers, air compressors, RTO, chillers, cooling towers, hot water systems and wastewater treatment plants
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment with the required technical skills and a safety-first mindset including food safety.
  • Ensure the proper permit-to-work system is exercised throughout the work process.
  • Perform activities related to pest management, cleaning management, building and electrical distribution, fire protection systems, waste management, air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV)and utility assets.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) continuous improvement
  • Perform predictive and preventive maintenance one equipment
  • Ensure work processes adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance
  • Identify and manage Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) spare parts inventory maintained in stores
  • Complete work orders and related documentation such as equipment history and spare parts consumed and balance on hand in stores via CMMS
  • Supervise field contractors to ensure the safety and quality of work performed
  • Actively participate in the development of work instructions and root cause failure studies
  • Lead and execute CAPEX projects with minimum supervision
  • Lead a team, managing leave, overtime and other administrative matters as assigned by the U&F Engineer or Manager
  • Perform other engineering or administrative tasks as assigned by the engineer or manager.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Diploma or NITEC in a technical field or an Electrical Engineering background with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in HVAC, cooling towers,air conditioning or similar equipment.
  • Certification as a boiler attendant or an energy-related qualification such as Water Efficiency Manager
  • A self-starter with strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, proactive attitude, safety-first approach and solid contractor management skills.
