Key Responsibilities
1. Site Operations & Supervision
- Supervise and monitor daily construction activities on site.
- Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and site workers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed according to the project schedule.
- Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues promptly.
2. Technical Coordination
- Review construction drawings, shop drawings and technical documents.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers and subcontractors on technical matters.
- Raise and follow up on RFIs, technical submissions and shop drawings where required.
- Ensure construction works comply with approved designs and project requirements.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
3. Quality Control
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets the required standards.
- Ensure materials and installation works comply with project specifications.
- Assist with inspection requests, testing and commissioning activities.
- Monitor rectification works and ensures defects are properly closed out.
- Maintain relevant quality records and site documentation.
4. Progress & Documentation
- Prepare daily site reports, progress reports and site records.
- Monitor work progress against the approved project programme.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on site progress, delays and issues.
- Assist with measurement, quantity tracking and progress claims where required.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, submissions, inspections and site instructions.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure site activities comply with Singapore's workplace safety requirements and company safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the WSH team to address unsafe work practices or site conditions.
- Attend site meetings, toolbox meetings and safety briefings where required.
- Report accidents, incidents and unsafe conditions promptly.
6. Project Coordination
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.
- Attend site coordination and progress meetings.
- Assist in planning manpower, materials, equipment and work activities.
- Support the Project Manager in achieving project targets for time, cost, quality and safety.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant construction/site experience, depending on project requirements.
- Experience working on construction sites in Singapore is preferred.
- Familiar with construction drawings, specifications and site coordination.
- Good knowledge of construction methods and practices.
- Able to use AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of BIM/Revit is an advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
- Willing to work on construction sites and extended hours when required.
- Good understanding of Singapore construction safety requirements.
