The posting

We are looking for a driven and personable SME Loan Sales Specialist to join our growing team. This role is suitable for individuals who enjoy engaging with business owners, understanding their financing needs, and recommending suitable loan or funding solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Engage SME business owners to assess and understand their financing needs for tailored loan solutions
  • Recommend appropriate SME loan and funding products to meet client requirements
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to foster trust and repeat business
  • Follow up with leads and guide clients through the loan application process to ensure completion
  • Liaise with clients, financial institutions, and internal teams to coordinate smooth case processing
  • Maintain accurate client records and monitor application progress to ensure timely updates
  • Work independently and collaboratively to achieve individual and team sales targets
  • Stay informed on SME financing products, government grants, and market trends to provide up-to-date advice
  • Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to engage diverse clients
  • Apply social skills and emotional intelligence to build rapport and handle client interactions effectively
  • Use Microsoft Office applications proficiently to manage documentation and communications
  • Commit to continuous learning and growth under managerial guidance for at least two years

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • GCE ‘A’ Level qualification
  • Sales experience, especially in financial services, SME loans, or government grants
  • Multilingual ability to support communication in a diverse working environment and client base
  • Existing network of SME owners or business contacts
  • Familiarity with the Singapore SME landscape
  • Knowledge of SME financing or government grant application processes
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Previous administrative or client-servicing experience
