The posting

Social Media Content Producer

Role Overview

The Social Media Content Producer is responsible for developing, producing and delivering engaging social media content across multiple platforms and formats. The role combines content ideation, hands-on production, platform knowledge and project coordination, with a strong focus on creating timely, relevant and audience-centric content.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, responding to evolving content needs and managing projects from concept and pre-production through filming, editing and final delivery. The role requires someone who is creatively driven, digitally savvy and able to translate communications objectives into effective social-first content.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Content Development

  • Conceptualise and develop creative content ideas based on client briefs, communications objectives, target audiences and platform requirements.
  • Translate key messages into compelling social-first content, including short-form videos, reels, interviews, explainers, event coverage and other digital formats.
  • Develop content treatments, storyboards, scripts, shot lists and other pre-production materials where required.
  • Keep abreast of emerging social media trends, formats, platform features and audience behaviours, and identify opportunities to incorporate them appropriately into content.
  • Adapt content and storytelling approaches for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and other emerging channels.

Content Production

  • Plan and execute social media shoots, including interviews, events, activations and other on-location productions.
  • Operate cameras and basic production equipment where required and work closely with videographers, editors, designers and other creative team members.
  • Edit short-form and social media videos, including basic colour correction, audio treatment, graphics, captions and platform-specific formatting.
  • Produce content with an understanding of the need for speed, relevance and turnaround, particularly for time-sensitive or event-based communications.
  • Repurpose and optimise existing assets into suitable content formats for different platforms.

Project & Client Management

  • Manage assigned content projects from brief through to final delivery, ensuring timelines, deliverables and quality standards are met.
  • Work directly with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify briefs and provide recommendations on content execution.
  • Coordinate production schedules, talent, locations, equipment and other resources required for shoots.
  • Manage feedback and revisions efficiently while maintaining the creative intent and communications objectives of the project.
  • Support multiple concurrent projects and prioritise deliverables according to deadlines and operational requirements.

Content Strategy & Performance

  • Contribute ideas to social media content plans, campaigns and always-on content strategies.
  • Apply an understanding of platform algorithms, audience behaviour and content performance when developing content.
  • Review content performance and identify learnings that can improve future creative execution.
  • Work with account, strategy and creative teams to ensure content is aligned with the broader campaign and communications strategy.

AI & Emerging Content Tools

  • Explore and apply AI-enabled tools to support content ideation, scripting, visualisation, editing, asset generation and production workflows.
  • Identify opportunities where AI and emerging technologies can improve turnaround time, production efficiency and creative possibilities.
  • Remain current with developments in generative AI and new digital content-production tools while ensuring responsible and appropriate use.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
