The posting

About The Story People

The Story People is a creative agency under The People Group, specialising in brand storytelling, digital content, and social media strategy for companies across Singapore. We operate on a flexible swarm team model — assembling the right talent around each client's specific needs to deliver sharp, purposeful creative work.

We are currently building a dedicated team for a significant government social media management contract and are looking for a Social Media Strategist and Content Lead to anchor this engagement.

The Role

You will be the strategic and creative engine behind a high-profile government social media account. Working alongside the Creative Director and Account Director, you will own the content strategy, editorial calendar, and platform performance across six platforms — Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and WhatsApp.

This is not a junior execution role. We need someone who can think strategically, write compellingly, brief creatives effectively, and present performance data with confidence to senior government stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the development of monthly content calendars on a rolling 3-month basis, covering all platforms and content formats
  • Drive content strategy and ensure all output is aligned to the client's communications objectives and public health mandate
  • Brief and oversee creative production — carousels, short-form videos, motion graphics, static posts — and ensure platform specifications are met across all formats
  • Monitor social media trends actively and recommend reactive content opportunities in a timely manner
  • Write and review copy across all post formats and platforms, maintaining a consistent and appropriate brand voice
  • Manage the content approval workflow with government stakeholders — coordinating feedback rounds, revisions, and sign-offs
  • Produce monthly performance reports covering engagement metrics, top and bottom performing posts, audience demographics, month-on-month comparisons, and actionable recommendations
  • Contribute to year-end review reports and present findings to senior management
  • Support the development of an editable design template system for client in-house use
  • Coordinate with the production team on video shoots — talent briefs, platform adaptations, and delivery timelines

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in social media strategy, content marketing, or digital communications — agency experience strongly preferred
  • Proven track record managing multi-platform social media accounts at an organisational or brand level
  • Strong copywriting skills in English across different tones and formats — from educational and informative to conversational and campaign-led
  • Experience working with or producing content for government agencies, statutory boards, or public sector organisations is a strong advantage
  • Comfortable presenting strategy and performance data to senior stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with social media management and analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, TikTok for Business, YouTube Studio, or equivalents)
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific content formats, audience behaviour, and algorithm trends
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously with tight deadlines and structured approval processes
  • Singapore-based and available for on-site meetings and production coordination as required

Bonus Points

  • Experience handling content for Political Office Holders or ministerial communications
  • Background in healthcare, public health, or government communications
  • Familiarity with short-form video production workflows and briefing videographers
  • Existing network of production contacts in Singapore

Why Join This Project

  • Work on a nationally visible government health communications mandate
  • Collaborate with an experienced creative director and account lead
  • Competitive contract remuneration commensurate with experience
  • Genuine creative latitude within a structured government brief

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
