COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Founded in 1978 as Singapore's first family service centre, Allkin Singapore is a community-centric social service agency that believes everyone has the potential to create positive change, regardless of age, race, or background.

Through our service offerings, strategic partnerships, and community initiatives, we unlock opportunities for vulnerable individuals and families to overcome life's challenges, build a brighter future, and inspire others to do the same.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kampung Kin is an initiative led that aims to support ComLink families in Ang Mo Kio, with a focus on helping preschool-aged children attend school regularly. The programme works with parents on positive morning routines, sends attendance reminders and check-ins, and brings families and community residents together through parent support groups and monthly community celebrations.

As the Social Work Associate, you will reach out to and befriend families, plan and facilitate activities for children aged 3 to 12, and help families build support networks within their community. You will also work closely with schools, volunteers, MSF Family Coaches and Resident Networks, and help track attendance and programme outcomes.

Job Scope

  1. A) Key Responsibilities
  • Reach out to ComLink families in person and remotely to encourage programme participation and regular preschool attendance
  • Plan and facilitate activities, workshops and outings for children aged 3 to 12, including logistics and programme flow
  • Befriend families and help facilitate parent support groups and monthly community celebrations to build their support networks
  • Coordinate with schools, volunteers, MSF Family Coaches and Resident Networks on participants' attendance and venue bookings
  • Track attendance, collect feedback and monitor outcomes to support programme evaluation
  1. B) Other Responsibilities
  • Prepare programme reports and handle related administrative duties
  • Attend internal and external training, supervision and team meetings
  • Carry out other duties assigned by the HOD and supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in a relevant field, such as Early Childhood Care and Education, Social Work, or the WSQ Diploma in Social Service
  • At least 1 year of experience in a social service setting
  • Experience enrolling children from lower-income families in preschool or social programmes
  • Experience working with children aged 3 to 12
  • Able to coordinate with and work well alongside families, colleagues and community partners
  • Good communication and facilitation skills, with good spoken and written English
  • Organised, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
