Job Summary:

As a Software Engineer atSustenir, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and integrating software and operational technology systems that support business operations and performance.

The role covers ERP and VAN salessystem integration, web application development, Microsoft 365 administration, IT infrastructure and end-user support. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and remote development teams to deliver reliable, secure and efficient technology solutions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, integrate and maintain software applications and IT systems to support business and operational requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance existing web applications, internal systems and business applications.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and remote development teams to develop, maintain and improve the ERP system.
  • Lead the integration and readiness of the ERP and VAN sales handheld systems, including hardware deployment, system configuration and connectivity.
  • Support technology-enabled van sales operations, including route optimization and integration between sales, inventory and ERP systems.
  • Administer and manage Microsoft 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
  • Maintain local servers, network infrastructure and related IT systems to ensure reliability, security and performance.
  • Manage domain, DNS and related cloud services.
  • Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, monitors, printers and other IT equipment for new employees.
  • Install and configure Microsoft 365 applications, printer drivers and role-specific software to ensure new employees are fully equipped on their first day.
  • Provide first-line and second-line IT support, including troubleshooting of Wi-Fi, network, hardware, software and printer issues.
  • Manage IT asset inventory, procurement, deployment and tracking of hardware and peripherals.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize business disruption.
  • Collaborate with internal and remote teams on system upgrades, enhancements, testing and implementation.
  • Perform other IT and technology-related duties or ad hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant IT/software development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services, preferably AWS, including ECS, ECR, EC2, RDS and Route 53.
  • Experience with domain and DNS management.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages/frameworks such as PHP, Node.js, Python and React.js.
  • Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions and CircleCI.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
  • Good understanding of basic networking, Wi-Fi configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in hardware setup, software installation and end-user IT support.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication, organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with internal and remote teams.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / Dynamics Business Central is highly preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience integrating ERP, sales, inventory and handheld/mobile systems.
  • Experience supporting field sales, van sales or route-to-market systems.
  • Experience working with remote software development teams.
  • Knowledge of API integration and system-to-system connectivity.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity, access management and IT asset management.
