Software Engineer – Murex Datamart & Risk Reporting
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer specializing in Murex Datamart, Regulatory Reporting, and Capital Markets Technology to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the Murex MX.3 platform, Datamart architecture, data analytics, report development, and financial risk reporting solutions supporting global banking operations.
This role offers an opportunity to work on large-scale trading and risk systems across multiple asset classes, delivering business-critical reporting solutions for Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Finance, Treasury, and Regulatory stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Murex Datamart Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Murex MX.3 Datamart solutions.
- Build and optimize Datamart components including: Dynamic Tables Feeders & Batch Feeders Scanner Templates Datamart Tables Extractions & Batch Extractions Processing Scripts
- Analyze existing Datamart configurations and recommend performance improvements.
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues.
Reporting & Analytics Development
- Develop strategic and regulatory reports using: Murex Datamart Viewer M Report Simulation Viewer Market Data Viewer ERM Viewer
- Deliver reporting solutions for: Market Risk Credit RiskVaR (Value at Risk) Finance Reporting Regulatory Reporting Treasury Reporting
- Create downstream data interfaces for enterprise data warehouses and analytical platforms.
Capital Markets Technology
- Support reporting and analytics for: Foreign Exchange (FX)Fixed Income Money Markets Interest Rate Products Derivatives
- Collaborate with business users to translate trading and risk requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Release & Production Support
- Manage change requests, enhancements, and production deployments.
- Coordinate with Business Analysts, QA teams, and Operations teams during SIT, UAT, and Go-Live phases.
- Configure and monitor batch schedules using Control-M.
- Support production releases through release governance and change management processes.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
- Minimum 5 years of Strong hands-on experience with Murex MX.3 Datamart Development
- Expertise in: Datamart Architecture Murex Reporting Framework Datamart Object Design Data Extraction Frameworks Performance Tuning and Optimization.
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development skills.
- Experience with Oracle Database environments.
- Strong debugging and code analysis capabilities.
Financial Domain Knowledge
- Good understanding of: Market Risk Management Regulatory Reporting Counterparty Risk Treasury Operations Trade Lifecycle Management
- Minimum 5 years of capital market asset classes including FX, Derivatives, Fixed Income, and Money Markets.

- Murex MX.3
- Oracle SQL / PL-SQL
- Control-M
- Jira
- HP Quality Center (QC)
- SQL Developer
- Remedy / Helix
- Unix/Linux (basic scripting knowledge preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Murex greenfield implementations.
- Experience in Murex migration projects (Murex 2.11 to MX.3).
- Exposure to global banking environments and multi-entity rollouts.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams.
- Familiarity with enterprise data warehouse integrations.
- Knowledge of Crystal Reports or similar enterprise reporting tools.
