The posting

Position Summary We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to major projects within the semiconductor manufacturing domain. The role involves application development, system enhancement and support. The Software Engineer will play a critical role in bridging business requirements with technical solutions, optimizing workflows, and driving automation to support core operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, monitor, and support internal IT applications to ensure stable, secure, and reliable operations.
  • ProvideL1/L2 user support: troubleshoot application/system issues, identify root causes, and implement timely fixes or workarounds.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy application changes following internal standards and best practices.
  • Analyze, collect, and prioritize user and business requirements, translating them into clear and structured technical specifications or user stories.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with operational needs.
  • Participate in change management activities: impact assessment, risk identification, rollback planning, and release coordination.
  • Support system performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning to ensure applications meet SLAs.
  • Contribute to incident and problem management by documenting issues, lessons learned, and preventive measures.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to optimize workflows and automate manual processes within the factory environment.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, interface specifications, configuration guides, maintenance procedures, and user manuals.
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Company as and when required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in application system development and support.
  • Solid experience with Java development; familiarity with common frameworks is a plus.
  • Familiar with programming languages (e.g.: Java, JavaScript, PL/SQL, and VB/VB.NET) is a plus
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g.: Oracle, SQL Server, or similar), including writing queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Familiar with Android development tools and environment.
  • Ability to diagnose complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective fixes.
  • Familiar with software development lifecycles (SDLC), version control, and basic testing practices (unit/integration testing).
