The posting

Location: Havelock Job Type: Full-TIme Contract (Subjected to renewal/conversion)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain frontend applications, backend services, APIs, databases, and data pipelines.
  • Design and manage databases, datasets, operational data stores, data lakes, and data virtualisation solutions.
  • Build batch processing and automation solutions using AWS services, Python, Lambda, Glue, DMS, ECS, and EventBridge.
  • Design secure and reliable RESTful APIs, GraphQL, gRPC, and WebSocket services.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and support automated application and cloud deployments.
  • Work closely with DevOps and QA teams on infrastructure automation, testing, monitoring, and application releases.
  • Implement application and cloud security best practices, including authentication, authorisation, API security, IAM, and secrets management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant development experience
  • Strong experience in both frontend and backend development.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Next.js or Vue.js.
  • Backend development experience using Node.js.
  • Proficient in SQL/Python and database technologies such as PostgreSQL, AWS S3 and Athena.
  • Experience in data engineering, data transformation, batch processing, and database design would be advantageous
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, including ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, RDS PostgreSQL, Lambda and related cloud services.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/CloudFormation, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or ArgoCD.
  • Good understanding of API design, system design, data structures, scalability, and application security.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, Cypress, Playwright, Postman or Supertest.
