Responsibilities:

The Collections System Analyst will play a key role in Bank Sector Client’s Collections migration and system replacement initiative. The role will serve as the main System Analyst for the legacy Collections platform and will be responsible for delivering the legacy-side system solution, including analysis, solution design, interface impact assessment, migration data extraction, conversion support, reconciliation design, and SDM documentation.

The role requires strong understanding of Collections processes, batch and online interfaces, legacy system behavior, migration, data conversion, reconciliation, and system dependencies across banking applications. Exposure to Bank Sector Client’s application landscape, internal processes, cross-system interfaces, and SDM documentation standards is preferred.

Legacy Collections System Analysis & Solution Delivery

• Act as the main System Analyst for the legacy Collections platform during the migration and system replacement initiative.

• Analyse legacy Collections system behavior, business rules, workflows, interfaces, data flows, dependencies, and exception scenarios.

• Analyse and design legacy system changes required to support migration, conversion, reconciliation, testing, and implementation readiness.

• Support detailed data mapping from the legacy platform to the new Collections platform.

• Work with business users, operations, technology teams, and application teams to clarify current system behavior, operational impacts, and solution approach.

• Provide legacy platform input for interface analysis, conversion rules, reconciliation approach, testing scope, and cutover readiness.

Vendor Solution & Deliverable Validation

• Review and validate vendor deliverables related to the new Collections platform, including system analysis, solution design, interface design, migration, reconciliation, and unit testing documentation.

• Validate the vendor’s proposed solution against legacy system behavior, approved requirements, data mapping, interface dependencies, reconciliation expectations, Bank Sector Client standards, and SDM documentation requirements.

• Identify and challenge gaps, assumptions, inconsistencies, or missing details in vendor documentation and proposed solutions.

• Ensure vendor deliverables properly address legacy-to-new platform mapping, data dependencies, interface impacts, conversion rules, reconciliation requirements, and exception scenarios.

• Work closely with the vendor system analyst to clarify requirements, resolve solution gaps, and align legacy and new platform design.

• Track review comments, open items, decisions, assumptions, and follow-ups with the vendor and internal stakeholders.

Interface Analysis & Coordination

• Analyse and deliver interface-related requirements for both batch and online interfaces, with focus on legacy system behavior and migration impact.

• Work with upstream and downstream application teams to understand interface touchpoints, data flows, processing timelines, dependencies, and exception handling.

• Review interface specifications, file layouts, message formats, data mapping, transformation rules, and reconciliation requirements.

• Coordinate with Bank Sector Client application teams to confirm interface behavior, data dependencies, processing rules, system impacts, and required changes.

• Identify, track, and support resolution of interface-related risks, issues, gaps, and dependencies.

Migration, Conversion & Reconciliation

• Deliver system analysis and solution support for legacy platform migration, data conversion, and reconciliation.

• Define or validate source-to-target mapping, conversion logic, migration rules, reconciliation approach, data validation requirements, and exception handling.

• Review vendor documentation covering migration rules, conversion logic, reconciliation approach, and data validation requirements.

• Support analysis of migration and reconciliation defects, including data gaps, mismatches, and processing discrepancies.

• Maintain documentation of migration-related decisions, assumptions, dependencies, risks, issues, and open items.

SDM Documentation

• Prepare, review, and maintain SDM documentation within the System Analyst scope.

• Complete required SDM deliverables for the legacy Collections platform and related migration activities.

• Support documentation for system analysis, solution design, interface specifications, process flows, traceability, conversion, reconciliation, and testing.

• Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, traceable, and aligned with business requirements, legacy system behavior, new platform expectations, and governance requirements.

• Maintain proper records of decisions, assumptions, dependencies, review comments, issues, and resolutions.

Testing & Readiness Support

• Support system integration, user acceptance, regression, conversion, reconciliation, and interface testing from a System Analyst perspective.

• Assist in defining and reviewing test scenarios and expected results covering legacy system behavior, Collections processes, interface flows, migration outcomes, data dependencies, and reconciliation logic.

• Review test results and support defect analysis, particularly for interface, migration, conversion, reconciliation, and system behavior issues.

• Coordinate with business users, testers, vendors, and application teams to clarify defects and support timely resolution.

• Support implementation readiness, production support handover, post-implementation support, and defects/incidents triage.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
