We are currently seeking a high calibreprofessional to join our team as a Relationship Manager (RM), InternationalMid-Market (IMM), CIB.

In this role you will:

Client coverage& relationship management

  • Own the end-to-end relationship for an assigned portfolio of IMM clients, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted adviser.
  • Develop and execute client account plans, including stakeholder mapping, calling cadence, wallet analysis, and cross-sell strategy.
  • Lead regular client reviews (business performance, facility utilisation, pipeline, service quality, and forward-looking needs).

Origination & revenue delivery

  • Identify, originate and execute opportunities across the CIB product suite, typically including:
  • Working capital and structured lending (where applicable), bilateral/club facilities
  • Trade finance (LC, SBLC, guarantees, import/export solutions) and supply chain finance
  • Payments & Cash Management / liquidity / deposits
  • FX and hedging solutions (in partnership with Markets)
  • Structure commercial proposals and coordinate solution design with product specialists; support pricing discussions and negotiations within delegated authorities.
  • Maintain an active and well-governed pipeline; deliver financial targets and revenue quality.

Credit, risk and portfolio management

  • Lead credit submissions, annual reviews and interim reviews; ensure timely delivery of high-quality credit papers aligned to risk appetite.
  • Driving portfolio returns, monitor covenant compliance and early warning indicators; proactively manage deterioration and remediation action plans.
  • Ensure facilities are operated within approved limits/terms and that exceptions are identified, escalated and resolved.

Onboarding, KYC and financial crimecompliance

  • Drive efficient client onboarding and ongoing KYC refresh in partnership with onboarding, FCC/Compliance and relevant control teams.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of client documentation and adherence to applicable regulatory requirements (AML, sanctions, tax, etc.).
  • Maintain a strong conduct and controls culture; promptly escalate issues and support audits/reviews as required.

Client experience & servicemanagement

  • Provide leadership on service delivery for the portfolio; coordinate implementation of cash, trade and lending solutions with operations/implementation teams.
  • Act as escalation point for client issues; ensure root-cause resolution and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder management & teamwork

  • Work closely with product partners (Trade/SCF, Payments & Cash Management, Lending, Markets), Credit, FCC, Legal, Operations and Service.
  • Collaborate with other country teams/coverage bankers to deliver cross-border solutions and maximise HSBC Group connectivity for clients.
  • Contribute to team initiatives, portfolio planning, and knowledge sharing; coach junior colleagues where relevant.

Decision-Making Authority

  • Operate within delegated signing and pricing authorities, escalating where required.
  • Recommend credit decisions through the appropriate governance committees and approval forums.

To be successful you will need:

Experience

  • Proven corporate banking coverage experience (relationship management/origination) within CIB/CMB environment, ideally with internationally connected mid-market clients.
  • Track record in credit-driven banking: credit analysis, deal structuring, and managing portfolio health.
  • Experience coordinating cross-product solutions and working in a matrixed, multi-country environment.

Technical/Functional knowledge

  • Strong understanding of corporate lending, trade finance, cash management, deposits and basic markets/FX solutions.
  • Working knowledge of onboarding/KYC requirements and financial crime compliance expectations.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements, assess cash flows, and articulate key credit risks/mitigants.
