Strategic Account Manager – Dubai

This Agricultural company is a leader in its field with a global footprint and a focus on the environment and sustainability. The need has arisen for a Strategic Account Manager with at least 2-3 years’ experience in the UAE, to be responsible for building and growing their relationships with key end users, including restaurant groups retailers and strategic accounts that drive significant volume or support premium brand positioning.

Role & Responsibilities

The Strategic Account Manager has end-to-end accountability for the commercial management of customers (end users such as restaurant groups and or retailers).

The role is responsible for:

  • Customer relationship management
  • Annual and quarterly business planning
  • Revenue and margin delivery
  • Sales forecasting and demand planning inputs
  • Contract and pricing negotiations
  • Customer activation and growth initiatives
  • Cross-functional stakeholder alignment
  • Customer performance reporting

Experience

  • 5-10 years experience in Key Account Management, National Account Management or Business Development with at least 3 years in Dubai/the UAE.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Agribusiness
  • Experience managing large strategic customers.
  • Exposure to premium foodservice, FMCG, protein, agriculture or related sectors.
  • Proven success delivering revenue growth and customer profitability.
  • Experience developing and executing Joint Business Plans.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain.

The right person will be able to look beyond the expected and always seek out opportunities to grow.

In addition you must be able to work closely with Brand, Supply Chain, Operations and Commercial teams in order to translate customer needs into practical growth plans that support sustainable revenue, margin and market expansion. The role is accountable for customer performance, relationship management and commercial outcomes, and actively supports management of the UAE distributor to deliver agreed commercial growth KPIs.
