We are looking for a hands-on and commercially minded Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our client’s growing team in Singapore. This role will sit at the intersection of procurement, technical sourcing and commercial support, working closely with vendors, customers, sales and internal stakeholders to build an efficient and scalable operation.

You will be responsible for developing and managing supplier relationships, preparing technical quotations and supporting pricing strategies across a range of industrial products, including seals, gaskets, bearings and other engineered components.

Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate and manage vendor and supplier relationships across the region.
  • Identify new suppliers and sourcing opportunities to improve cost, quality, lead times and product availability.
  • Prepare and manage technical quotations for industrial and engineered products, including seals, gaskets, bearings and related components.
  • Interpret engineering specifications, drawings, technical data and customer requirements to identify suitable products and sourcing solutions.
  • Work closely with the Sales team on pricing strategy, customer requirements, quotations and commercial coordination.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
  • Optimise purchasing, inventory levels and supplier lead times to support efficient operations.
  • Monitor supplier performance and proactively address issues relating to quality, delivery, pricing and availability.
  • Support the development of efficient procurement and operational processes as the Singapore business continues to grow.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations and other stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently and commercially.
  • Contribute to building a resilient and scalable supplier network across Singapore and the wider Asia region.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, technical sales, sales support, quoting or a related industrial environment.
  • Experience with industrial products, engineered components, manufacturing, MRO or technical equipment will be highly advantageous.
  • Comfortable interpreting engineering specifications, technical data and product requirements.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to assess pricing and identify sourcing opportunities.
  • Confident managing vendor relationships and working with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with Sales, suppliers and customers.
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin or other regional languages would be an advantage.
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Hands-on, proactive and resourceful, with the ability to operate independently and build processes as the business grows.
