The posting

  • Review design packages and prepare, review, and approve shop drawings for reinforced concrete (RC) structural works and temporary works, including struts, walers, and related support systems.
  • Coordinate structural design matters with relevant stakeholders, including: Civil consultants Accredited Checkers (AC) Architectural and SWC consultants Construction and site teams Relevant authorities, where required
  • Carry out and coordinate the design of temporary works related to structural engineering requirements.
  • Support the project team in resolving design-related issues and technical queries.
  • Manage and resolve matters relating to production, quality, design, engineering, and project schedule.
  • Ensure design works comply with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and authority requirements.
  • Review technical submissions, drawings, calculations, and design documentation to ensure accuracy and constructability.
  • Work closely with consultants and construction teams to ensure timely resolution of design and coordination issues.
  • Perform other engineering and project-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant civil engineering consultancy experience in civil, building, and structural design works.
  • Experience in infrastructure projects is mandatory.
  • Experience in LTA projects is highly preferred.
  • Site experience in underground roadway, tunnel, or underground infrastructure projects is an advantage.
  • Strong experience in structural design management and coordination with consultants.
  • Previous experience working within a consultancy environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, design calculations, and temporary works.
  • Proficient in structural design and analysis software such as STAAD.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Good understanding of relevant authority requirements, engineering codes, and design standards.
  • Strong coordination, technical problem-solving, communication, and design management skills.
  • Able to work effectively with consultants, contractors, construction teams, and relevant authorities.
