Job Summary

Prepare detailed structural steel drawings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver precise, compliant engineering documentation that supports fabrication and erection processes, ensuring project milestones are met with high quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed structural steel shop, erection, and assembly drawings using Tekla Structures to support fabrication and construction activities.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and architects to develop and finalize technical drawings and secure submission approvals.
  • Identify and resolve design and detailing issues by coordinating with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure constructability and compliance.
  • Incorporate feedback from clients, consultants, and fabrication teams to revise and update drawings promptly and accurately.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling engineering deliverables to align with project timelines and maintain compliance with engineering standards.
  • Support the resolution of fabrication and site-related issues by providing detailed steel detailing expertise.
  • Maintain organized drawing records and adhere to document control procedures to ensure traceability and version control.
  • Model structural steel components, including beams, columns, bracings, plates, bolts, and connections to ensure accurate representation for fabrication.
  • Deliver drawings and documentation that meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of precision and quality.

Requirement:

  • Proficiency in Tekla Structures for structural steel detailing and modeling.
  • Demonstrated understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection processes to ensure practical and compliant detailing.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel detailing within construction projects.
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams to resolve design and fabrication challenges.
  • A diploma or Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
