The posting

Contract Period: From 1 Nov 2027 to31 Oct 2027 with an option to extend for another year

Working hours: • Mondays to Fridays: 7:00am to 4.00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break • The personnel may be required to provide services beyond the stipulated hours. If such services are required, the Authority shall give 1-day advance notice to the personnel. • Service is not required during school holidays unless otherwise requested by the Authority by giving 3 days advance notice to the personnel. • Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.

Scope of services:

Student Management & Discipline: • Support the Student Management Team (SMT) and teachers in handling student discipline cases, including managing student discipline during recess and school activities, as well as supervising students serving detention and carrying out corrective work. • Maintain accurate records of discipline cases and follow-up actions taken. • Assist in the implementation of the school's discipline framework and policies. • Assist the SMT in fact-finding and investigations relating to reported student management matters. • Coordinate with parents or guardians on discipline matters, including providing updates on investigations and follow-up actions taken.

Safety & Security: •Conduct regular walkabouts within the school premises and around the school's perimeter. • Monitor school entry and exit points to ensure only authorised personnel and students are on school premises. • Manage crowd flow during peak periods such as arrival, dismissal, and high traffic school activities to ensure safety and order. • Respond to emergencies or incidents on school grounds and escalate to the appropriate personnel. • Ensure compliance with school safety rules and regulations.

Administrative Support: • Maintain and update student management records and databases. • Monitor and track student attendance, flagging persistent absenteeism to the SMT or Form Teachers for follow-up. • Prepare reports on discipline trends or recurring issues for the SMT. • Coordinate with external agencies (e.g. police, social services) when necessary.

Student Welfare: • Identify students who may require additional support and refer them to the appropriate personnel (e.g. school counsellor, Form Teachers). • Build positive relationships with students to encourage good behaviour.

Support School Operations & Events •Support the SMT in conducting briefings or orientations for students on school rules, expectations, and behavioural standards. • Carry out any other duties assigned by the school management related to student management and school operations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: • Preferably 5 years of working experience in managing children, teenagers or youth from diverse backgrounds • Prior experience in managing or supervising teenagers in terms of disciplinary proceedings, case management or behaviour support is strongly valued • Preferably former personnel from national uniform services • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students, parents, and school personnel effectively, including the ability to de-escalate conflicts and manage volatile situations calmly and professionally. • Familiar with restorative practices, case management processes, and student support frameworks. • Able to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and respond decisively in dynamic or high-pressure situations. • Proficient in report writing and documentation, with the ability to maintain accurate records and prepare clear reports for the Student Management Team. • Able to use MSOffice. • Holds a valid First Aid certificate or is willing to obtain one prior to commencement of duties.
