What You'll Do (Work Assignment Focus):

  • Assign jobs by receiving breakdown and tow calls and dispatching the appropriate driver and truck to each job.
  • Plan routes by arranging multiple tasks so drivers follow the most efficient order to save time and fuel.
  • Adjust routes in real time by tracking drivers on the road and re-routing them when traffic or new emergencies arise.
  • Schedule crews by creating daily shift plans (day, night, weekend) and assigning drivers based on their skills.
  • Support field operations by assisting drivers via phone when they encounter issues and dispatching backup if needed.
  • Check equipment by ensuring every truck has functioning tools and is properly maintained.
  • Handle urgent issues by quickly reallocating all available drivers during accidents or adverse weather conditions.

What We Need:

  • Demonstrate 3+ years of experience in dispatching or fleet leading within towing, recovery, or logistics.
  • Apply knowledge of local roads and basic tow/recovery terminology to coordinate operations effectively.
  • Maintain composure and make quick decisions during high-pressure calls.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Hold a valid driver's license.
