To supervise and coordinate both in-house workshop operations and outside construction site activities, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
1. In-house Duties (Workshop)
- Supervise daily workshop operations and assign tasks to workers.
- Coordinate fabrication, assembly, repair, and other construction-related works.
- Monitor workers' attendance, productivity, and work progress.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are properly managed and maintained.
- Check completed works to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Ensure the workshop is clean, organized, and complies with workplace safety requirements.
- Coordinate material preparation and delivery arrangements for project sites.
2. Outside Duties (Construction Sites)
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction and installation works at project sites.
- Allocate tasks to workers and monitor work progress according to project schedules.
- Coordinate with clients, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Check site measurements, drawings, and work requirements before commencing work.
- Ensure workers comply with site safety rules and use the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Monitor the quality of completed works and arrange rectification where necessary.
- Report site progress, delays, and operational issues to management.
3. Safety and Workforce Management
- Ensure workers comply with company safety policies and workplace safety and health requirements.
- Conduct safety briefings and toolbox meetings where required.
- Monitor manpower allocation and productivity for both workshop and site operations.
- Identify unsafe working conditions and take appropriate corrective action.
4. Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain records of daily work activities, manpower, and project progress.
- Report material shortages, equipment issues, and work delays to management.
- Assist in coordinating work schedules, deliveries, and project completion.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in construction, fabrication, or site supervision.
- Good leadership and coordination skills.
- Ability to understand construction drawings and work instructions.
- Knowledge of workplace safety requirements.
- Willingness to work both in the workshop and at external project sites.
