The posting

Purpose of the Role

Be the on-ground shift leader, ensuring smooth day-to-day floor operations and guiding the team to deliver warm, efficient and commercially aware hospitality. The Supervisor leads by example, supports Associates during service and ensures guest experience and operational standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Floor & Shift Operations

  • Lead floor operations during assigned shifts and ensure service standards are consistently executed.
  • Conduct pre-service briefings and allocate stations, sections and responsibilities according to operational needs.
  • Manage guest arrivals, seating, reservations and table flow to support a smooth guest journey.
  • Coordinate orders, food running, table maintenance and guest requests efficiently throughout service.
  • Monitor opening and closing duties, cleanliness, presentation and overall floor readiness.
  • Identify and resolve day-to-day service issues promptly, escalating more complex matters to the Assistant Manager or Manager when required.

Guest Experience & Sales

  • Welcome and engage guests warmly and create a positive and personalised experience.
  • Build strong product knowledge and confidently recommend food, beverages, retail products and experiences.
  • Drive upselling and cross-selling through genuine conversations and thoughtful recommendations.
  • Handle guest feedback and service recovery professionally within the scope of the role.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Guide and support Associates during service, providing immediate and constructive feedback.
  • Lead by example in hospitality, teamwork, professionalism and service standards.
  • Support the onboarding and on-the-job training of new team members.
  • Encourage strong communication and teamwork across the floor.

Operational Communication

  • Communicate operational issues, product shortages, guest feedback and unfinished duties clearly to the management team.
  • Work closely with Bar, Retail, Kitchen and Experiences to ensure smooth coordination across the guest journey.
  • Support stock awareness and communicate replenishment or operational requirements where necessary.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Participate in cross-training and rotation between Floor, Bar, Retail and Experiences where operationally required.
  • Support events, workshops and experiences when required.
  • Contribute to overall outlet cleanliness, sales and guest experience beyond the immediate floor responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant hospitality, F&B, retail or guest experience.
  • Previous supervisory, leadership or shift-leading experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to confidently lead a shift and coordinate team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable engaging guests and driving sales through recommendations and upselling.
  • Warm, reliable, proactive and passionate about hospitality.
  • Strong team player with a hands-on approach to operations.

The Right Person

You are warm, curious and genuinely enjoy hospitality. You take pride in creating great guest experiences and enjoy sharing your enthusiasm with both guests and teammates.

You are comfortable taking ownership of a shift, giving direction when needed and stepping in wherever the team requires support. You are proactive, dependable and calm under pressure, and you understand that great hospitality comes from strong teamwork and attention to detail.

Working Conditions

  • 5-day work week on a rotating roster.
  • Weekend and public holiday work is required.
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
  • May be required to support events, experiences and operational needs outside standard service periods.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
