You will ensure suppliers consistently meet Rolls-Royce Power Systems (mtu) quality expectations through qualification, process validation, and ongoing performance management. This includes being directly accountable for supplier audits, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will be doing:

  • Define and enforce quality expectations across assigned suppliers.

Supplier Qualification and Audits

  • Qualify new suppliers and re-qualify existing suppliers based on performance and risk.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal quality standards.

Issue Resolution and Root Cause Analysis

  • Lead investigations into supplier-related quality issues.
  • Drive root cause analysis using structured methodologies (e.g. 8D, RCA tools).
  • Implement and verify corrective and preventive actions with suppliers.

Performance Monitoring and Governance

  • Track supplier KPIs such as defect rates, on-time delivery, and process capability.
  • Hold suppliers accountable for underperformance and enforce recovery plans.
  • Escalate critical issues where necessary.

Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with suppliers to implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Drive cost of poor quality reduction across the supply base.
  • Support capability development within the supplier network.

New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Ensure supplier readiness for new product launches.
  • Validate manufacturing processes and quality controls before production.
  • Support PPAP, FAI, or equivalent qualification activities.

Position requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or process engineering.
  • Strong experience in supplier audits, quality systems, and process validation.
  • Hands-on experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with global suppliers in manufacturing or engineering environments.
  • Strong problem-solving capability. Must be able to go beyond symptoms and drive true root cause.
  • Ability to challenge suppliers and influence without authority.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of accountability and ownership.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
