Job Description
- Support the Quality Manager in managing the quality performance of outsourced foundries and contract manufacturers to ensure compliance with AAC and customer quality requirements.
- Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives by monitoring key quality metrics, identifying improvement opportunities, and ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure customer and internal quality requirements are translated into product design, manufacturing processes, control plans, inspection criteria, and test specifications.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by participating in supplier qualification, process validation, product qualification, control plan development, and production readiness reviews.
- Conduct supplier quality audits, process audits, and system audits to ensure compliance with AAC quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable international standards. Support third-party customer audits where required.
- Manage internal customer or supplier Engineering Change Request and ensure changes are properly evaluated, validated, documented, and approved before implementation.
- Work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams (Process, Product, Design, Manufacturing, Reliability and Operations) to investigate and resolve process, yield, reliability, and customer quality issues.
- Lead supplier quality issue resolution using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis.
- Review supplier process capability and quality performance through statistical analysis (SPC, Cp/Cpk, yield trends, defect analysis) and drive continuous improvement activities.
- Monitor supplier performance using quality KPIs, including yield, defect rates, customer complaints, audit findings, response time, and corrective action effectiveness.
- Support failure analysis activities by coordinating with suppliers and internal engineering teams to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
- Support customer visits, supplier visits, and technical discussions related to product quality and manufacturing.
Job Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in semiconductor, quality, manufacturing or process engineering. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may also be considered.
- Experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication, MEMS, foundry operations or semiconductor process engineering is an advantage.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, process control, yield improvement and quality systems.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as SPC, Cp/Cpk, FMEA, Control Plan and 8D.
- Experience in supplier/process audits or ISO 9001/IATF 16949 is an advantage.
- Good analytical, communication and coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with JMP or Minitab is an advantage.
- Willing to travel to foundries and supplier sites when required.
