What are my job responsibilities? The T&C Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and supporting all Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities related to the signalling system of CBTC GoA4 railway projects. This role plays a key role throughout all phases of the project — from initial test planning and integration to dynamic testing, safety validation, and final commissioning — ensuring that the signalling system meets all operational and safety requirements.

  • Support the development and implementation of the signalling T&C plan aligned with project and safety milestones.
  • Contribute to the preparation of test specifications, procedures, and validation matrices.
  • Ensure readiness of test equipment, tools, configurations, and software versions.
  • Collaborate with Design and Integration teams to verify test requirements and interface conditions.
  • Perform on-site testing of CBTC signalling functions
  • Execute static and dynamic tests during various stages: functional testing, integration testing, system acceptance, and trial operation.
  • Log test results, report anomalies, perform initial analysis of the incidences and follow up on fault resolution with Engineering.
  • Verify compliance of the system with customer and project-specific technical and operational standards.
  • Support pre-revenue operations and migration/staging activities.
  • Participate in trial runs, test scenarios, and full system validation under passenger simulation.
  • Assist in the preparation of safety documentation and evidence for system acceptance.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate test records, including test logs, NCRs, and defect reports.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the T&C Manager and support issue tracking/resolution.
  • Contribute to the compilation of test reports for Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and Operational Readiness Review (ORR).

What do I need to qualify for this role?

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Control Systems, or Railway Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in railway signalling T&C, preferably on CBTC systems.
  • Solid understanding of signalling concepts, train control logic, and CBTC operations.
  • Experience with test execution, logging, defect analysis and test documentation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including night shifts, weekends, and track access windows.
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens CBTC systems (e.g., Sirius and Trainguard MT).
  • Familiarity with GoA4 automation principles and SIL4 safety-critical systems.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
