We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically minded Technical Designer to join our growing team in Retail. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about interior design and technical detailing, and who enjoy seeing concepts evolve from design development through construction and completion.

A Day in the Life

  • Prepare technical and construction drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings for project execution.
  • Support the translation of design concepts into practical, buildable, and cost-efficient solutions.
  • Assist in coordinating shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical submissions from contractors and vendors.
  • Ensure drawings and documentation are accurate, up to date, and aligned with project requirements.
  • Work closely with designers, project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues and design discrepancies.
  • Support site inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure design intent and quality standards are maintained.
  • Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and as-built documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in identifying technical challenges and contribute practical solutions during design development and construction stages.
  • Perform drawing reviews and quality checks to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, materials, construction methods, and technical standards.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

  • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Spatial Design, or a related discipline.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in interior design, technical design, architectural drafting, or construction documentation.
  • Experience in retail, commercial, hospitality, workplace, or experiential projects is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
  • Familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, BIM, or other 3D modelling tools will be advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of construction detailing, materials, and building systems.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and authority requirements is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy.
  • Good problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Passion for design, construction, and creating meaningful user experiences.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to work on high-profile retail, corporate, hospitality, exhibition, and experiential projects.
  • Exposure to multidisciplinary teams comprising designers, strategists, content developers, project managers, and production specialists.
  • Career development opportunities within the Kingsmen Group.
  • A collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Exposure to regional and international projects.
  • Employee wellness initiatives.

If you're passionate about design, enjoy technical problem-solving, and want to be part of a team that brings creative concepts to life, we'd love to hear from you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
