Responsibilities
- Conduct daily preventive maintenance activities such as lubrication, component calibration, and inspection of machine ductwork and related equipment.
- Maintain, clean and service industrial laundry equipment, including tunnel washers, washer extractors, dryers, and related machinery to ensure optimal operational performance.
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on faulty or inoperative machines and equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, assess technical issues, and implement appropriate corrective actions to restore operations.
- Inspect and maintain overhead conveyor systems and machines while adhering to safety requirements and procedures.
- Work closely with other technicians and operational teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and equipment history.
- Manage and maintain inventories of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies required for repairs and servicing activities.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Engineering Supervisor or Management from time to time.
Requirements
- Minimum NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 to 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably involving large industrial machinery, or laundry plants.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with the ability to understand machinery functions, diagnose faults, and perform repairs.
- General electrical, mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Comfortable working at heights and able to use safety harnesses and fall-protection equipment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple technicians and operational personnel.
- Willing to work a 6-day work week and perform overtime when required for maintenance activities, breakdown recovery, or plant shutdowns.
