A career in Technology Risk Management within the Risk & Quality function provides an opportunity to shape how PwC identifies, assesses, and manages technology and AI-related risks across all Lines of Service. In this manager role, you will combine sound risk judgement, practical technology awareness, and strong stakeholder leadership to support the responsible adoption of digital and emerging technologies.

The Technology Risk Management team partners with stakeholders across the firm to provide pragmatic solutions, risk guidance, and governance oversight throughout the lifecycle of technology solutions. The team helps ensure that innovation is delivered responsibly, securely, and in compliance with internal policies, professional obligations, and applicable regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with technology teams, business stakeholders, Risk & Quality functions, and regional teams to enable the adoption of emerging technologies while maintaining an effective technology risk management framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate Technology Risk Assessments (TRAs), including scoping, risk identification, control evaluation, documentation, and clear, proportionate recommendations for remediation or acceptance.
  • Support the design, implementation, enhancement, and continuous improvement of technology risk management processes and controls with an initial focus on AI governance.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technology risk policies, standards, guidance materials, practice aids, and templates
  • Assess risks associated with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, Machine Learning, and other emerging technologies.
  • Lead or support risk reviews of AI-enabled solutions and tools, including use cases, data handling, model or system limitations, human oversight, transparency, security, third-party dependencies, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Contribute to the design and operation of AI governance processes and controls, translating responsible AI principles, regulatory expectations, and internal policies into practical review, approval, documentation, escalation, and monitoring requirements.
  • Prepare risk reports, dashboards, management information, and metrics for leadership and governance forums
  • Analyse risk trends and identify opportunities to improve risk management practices and operational efficiency.
  • Support initiatives to automate, streamline, and enhance technology risk assessment and reporting processes
  • Assist in special projects, regulatory reviews, and firm-wide risk initiatives as required

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in technology risk management, Ai governance, IT risk, information security, technology audit, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of AI and modern technology is required. Candidates should understand, at a practical level, how AI and Generative AI solutions are developed, acquired, deployed, and used, as well as the associated risks, limitations, and governance considerations. Deep engineering or coding expertise is not required.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI principles and recognised AI risk or governance frameworks, standards, and regulatory developments, with the ability to translate them into practical business requirements and controls.
  • An AI governance certification or equivalent professional credential is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex risk issues clearly to different audiences.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and the confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
