The posting

TEMPORARY SALES PROMOTER x 5 – PREMIUM JAPANESE FURNITURE

Location: Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Orchard Road

Event Period: 27 October – 16 November 2026

Salary: Up to S$20 per hour + Attractive Sales Commission

Operating Hours: 10:00 AM – 9:30 PM

Shift 1: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (7 Hrs)

Shift 2: 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM (7.5 Hrs)

About the Role

We are recruiting 3–4 experienced Sales Promoters for an exclusive pop-up event at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, representing a premium Japanese furniture brand.

The furniture collection features high-quality, beautifully crafted pieces from Japan, with individual items ranging from approximately S$3,000 to S$50,000.

Key responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage customers
  • Explain the furniture collection, materials, craftsmanship and product features
  • Understand customers' needs and recommend suitable products
  • Actively promote products and support sales conversion
  • Follow up with interested customers and enquiries where required
  • Keep the display area neat, organised and well-presented
  • Work closely with other sales staff and the event team to achieve sales targets

Requirements

  • Confident, professional, approachable and comfortable initiating conversations with customers making substantial purchases
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in spoken English & Mandarin to provide product information and sales support to customers of different background.
  • Experience in luxury retail, furniture, interior design, home furnishings or premium lifestyle or high-value products is preferred
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be available for the required shifts during the event period
