The posting

The Testing & Commissioning Manager reports directly to the Project Manager and is responsible for leading all Testing & Commissioning (T&C) and Integrated Testing & Commissioning (ITC) activities for the project.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Management

  • Develop, implement, and manage T&C and ITC plans in accordance with project requirements, contractual obligations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and oversee commissioning procedures, method statements, test packs, schedules, and related documentation.
  • Monitor testing and commissioning progress to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.

Testing and Commissioning Execution

  • Lead and supervise testing and commissioning activities for Electrical Services systems and associated interfaces.
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of testing and commissioning works.
  • Verify that systems are tested, commissioned, and documented in accordance with project specifications and operational requirements.
  • Identify technical, design, installation, and interface issues during the commissioning phase and work collaboratively with relevant parties to implement corrective actions.

Integrated Testing and Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate integrated testing activities involving multiple contractors, system interfaces, and stakeholders.
  • Support the demonstration of system functionality, interoperability, and performance requirements prior to project completion and handover.
  • Participate in coordination meetings, technical workshops, project reviews, and interface discussions with clients, consultants, authorities, and project partners.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare and maintain testing records, commissioning documentation, reports, and status updates.
  • Present progress updates, testing outcomes, technical findings, and commissioning status to project stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely submission of required documentation for review, approval, project handover, and close-out activities.

Leadership and Safety

  • Lead, mentor, and support engineers, supervisors, and technicians involved in testing and commissioning activities.
  • Promote compliance with workplace safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
  • Foster effective teamwork and collaboration across project functions.

Requirements

Education

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Experience in testing and commissioning, system integration, or project delivery within engineering, infrastructure, construction, transportation, or related industries.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders is advantageous.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of testing and commissioning methodologies, system integration processes, and project execution practices.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and commissioning requirements.
  • Strong planning, organisational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
