Job Summary

Lead typography and visual design governance for tire sidewalls and tread patterns, ensuring compliance with international standards. Collaborate globally to enhance design quality and mentor teams to elevate graphic design capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Define and enforce typography and visual design standards for sidewalls and tread patterns aligned with international regulatory requirements
  • Conduct visual quality audits on design outputs from global R&D sites to ensure compliance with design frameworks
  • Provide hands-on support by recommending and implementing design revisions to improve visual impact
  • Manage typography and graphic arrangements to ensure professional and visually appealing design materials
  • Collaborate with worldwide graphic design and typography partners to develop and roll out custom tire sidewall typefaces
  • Troubleshoot visual design issues during the R&D cycle and provide expert graphic design guidance
  • Transfer graphic design expertise to team members through structured training, mentorship, and daily collaboration to strengthen design fundamentals
  • Coordinate directly with R&D pattern design teams to deliver design requirements and technical support
  • Serve as the liaison with mould manufacturers to develop sidewall and pattern specifications for new tire models
  • Liaise with third-party design and typography vendors to ensure timely project delivery
  • Partner with global graphic design and typography agencies to enhance overall design excellence

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in graphic design, visual communication, or related discipline
  • 3–5 years of full-time graphic design experience in publishing, advertising, or a reputable design firm
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
  • Strong typography skills to structure and present text and images professionally
  • Fluency in Chinese and English to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking counterparts and clients

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Master’s degree in graphic design or related field preferred
  • Experience in typesetting and formatting materials to international standards
  • Experience with Rhino and CAD software
  • Ability to transfer graphic design knowledge and methodology to team members through training, coaching, or collaboration
