Job responsibilities:

Quality, Risk and Improvements

  • Participate Vendor Risk session and follow up Risk actions.
  • Participate internal audits and verifications; support the Lead Auditor as required.
  • Participate Experience Transfer sessions.
  • Coordinating and following up on improvement initiatives and incentive schemes to promote QRM matters in the project.
  • Support in Preparing weekly and monthly Vendor Quality reports for Lead Quality Engineer.
  • Assist in preparing work instructions when required.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Vendor Inspection and Coordination

  • Manage and monitor vendor inspection activities performed by Third-Party Inspection (TPI) service providers under the guidance of the TPI Coordinator.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure compliance with all QA/QC documentation requirements.
  • Support the development of vendor package follow-up plans based on ITP requirements and coordinate inspection activities with client, construction, completion and operations representatives.
  • Attend pre-inspection meetings, conduct surveillance visits, witness tests and ensure inspection reports are issued promptly in accordance with ITP requirements.
  • Review vendor quality and final documentation in time and coordinate with vendors to resolve Aibel & Client comments.
  • Report progress and escalate potential issues to Package Responsible Engineers, Site Quality Coordinators and the Project Quality Manager.
  • Conduct planned and ad hoc audits or reviews of vendor activities as required by the project.
  • Identify non-conformances and ensure deviations, including waivers, are formally raised, investigated, corrected and closed out with documented evidence.
  • Collaborate with the Construction & Mechanical Completion discipline to ensure quality activities are executed on schedule and in accordance with approved procedures.

Work experience requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality engineer FPSO/EPC projects regionally.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Vendor Inspection Coordination.
  • DNV Class FPSO EPC project experience is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related discipline.
  • International or European Welding Engineer Certification.
  • Valid CSWIP Welding and NDE Inspection Certification.

Other skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of and experience in developing and reviewing WPSs and PQRs
  • Good knowledge of NDE methods and procedure review.
  • Basic knowledge of coating systems.
  • Basic knowledge of EIT inspection and certification requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong working knowledge of oil and gas industry standards, including ASME, ANSI, ASTM, API, ISO, NORSOK, and equivalent standards.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare project reports and present technical issues to design teams and external parties.
  • Ability to work effectively in international and multicultural environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design, quality, certification, and vendor processes for FPSO projects.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally at short notice.
