Job Summary

Provide L2/L3 production support for payment applications, managing incidents and problems with root cause analysis, troubleshooting across application layers, and delivering system improvements to ensure stable and efficient payment processing.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver L2/L3 production support for payment applications to ensure continuous system availability and performance
  • Perform incident and problem management by conducting detailed root cause analysis to resolve issues effectively
  • Troubleshoot application, middleware, database, and integration components to identify and fix faults
  • Proactively recommend and implement improvements to enhance system stability, productivity, and maintainability
  • Support application releases, deployments, and production environment changes to ensure smooth transitions
  • Participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) drills to validate operational readiness
  • Monitor payment transactions, application performance, and system health to detect and address anomalies promptly
  • Analyze payment transaction data to identify trends and areas for operational improvement
  • Deliver software enhancements, bug fixes, and routine maintenance activities to improve application functionality
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, operational procedures, and facilitate knowledge transfer among teams
  • Coordinate effectively with business users, vendors, and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and align support efforts
  • Support software upgrades, enhancements, testing, and validation activities to maintain system currency and compliance

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of application development and/or production support experience in the Banking domain
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, Oracle Database, Oracle WebLogic, .NET, and BizTalk technologies
  • Experience working in Linux and Windows operating environments
  • Understanding of APIs and Microservices architecture to support modern application integration
  • Familiarity with DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices
  • Experience supporting payment systems such as Cross Border Payments, MEPS+, FAST-RT, or similar real-time payment platforms
  • Good understanding of ISO 20022 messaging standards for payment transactions
  • Exposure to ITIL Incident and Problem Management processes to align with industry best practices
  • Knowledge of JUnit, PMD Tools, and SonarQube for software testing and code quality assurance
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills applied in production support contexts
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
