Welder

Job Responsibilities:

  • Carry out welding and metal fabrication works at construction and project sites.
  • Perform welding works for structural steel, metal frames, supports, brackets and other metal components.
  • Read and understand basic drawings, measurements and welding requirements.
  • Prepare, cut, fit and position metal materials before welding.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, ARC or other welding works according to project requirements.
  • Check welded joints to ensure proper alignment, strength and workmanship.
  • Carry out grinding, polishing and finishing works after welding.
  • Operate welding machines, cutting tools and other fabrication equipment safely.
  • Perform repair and modification works when required.
  • Ensure materials and finished works meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain welding equipment, tools and work areas in good condition.
  • Follow all workplace safety requirements and use the appropriate PPE.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other workers to complete work according to schedule.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Relevant welding experience in construction, structural or metal fabrication works.
  • Able to perform welding works independently.
  • Experience with structural steel, metal frames or construction-related welding is an advantage.
  • Able to read basic drawings and take accurate measurements.
  • Good workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to work at construction/project sites.
  • Able to work at height, outdoors and in different site conditions when required.
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends or night shifts when required.
  • Relevant welding certificates or qualifications are an advantage.
