Job Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and metal fabrication works using MIG, TIG, ARC/SMAW and other approved welding processes.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols and work instructions.
- Prepare, cut, fit, align and tack-weld metal components before final welding.
- Weld carbon steel, stainless steel and other metal materials according to specifications.
- Operate and maintain welding machines, grinders, cutting tools and related equipment.
- Inspect completed welds for defects and carry out necessary repairs or rectification.
- Ensure welding work meets required quality, dimensional and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe welding practices.
- Work closely with supervisors, fitters, engineers and other team members to complete assigned projects.
- Perform other welding and fabrication duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Relevant welding experience is preferred.
- Welding certification or technical qualification will be an advantage.
- Experience in MIG, TIG, ARC/SMAW or structural/pipe welding is an advantage.
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Good understanding of welding safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work overtime, shifts or at project/worksite locations when required. With 5 years minimum experience. EMAIL RESUME TO: [email protected]
