The posting

We are looking for a Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Manager to manage all WSH matters for an LTA project. This role is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of WSH Management Systems, identifying and advising on risks, leading investigations and ensuring compliance with authority regulations and the WSH Act in Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain the WSH Management System, policies and safety programmes for a LTA mega infrastructure construction project.
  • Ensure compliance with WSH legislation, MOM regulations, LTA requirements and company safety standards.
  • Conduct and oversee site inspections, audits, risk assessments and high-risk work controls.
  • Advise Project Management on WSH risks and the appropriate control measures.
  • Lead and supervise a WSH team and oversee subcontractors' WSH performance.
  • Lead investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Liaise with LTA, MOM, client representatives and other relevant authorities on WSH matters.
  • Monitor WSH performance, prepare management reports and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead safety meetings, emergency preparedness and WSH initiatives to promote a strong safety culture.

Requirements:

  • Registered as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction WSH, with at least 4 years in a WSH Manager or safety management capacity in LTA or mega infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation, MOM requirements and construction safety practices.
  • Experience leading a WSH team and managing safety performance of subcontractors.
  • •Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • •Willing to work 5.5D, 7.30am-6pm.
