Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain safety procedures in compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and Ministry of Manpower guidelines to ensure regulatory adherence
- Advise site management on health and safety matters to support informed decision-making and risk mitigation
- Promote a safety-first culture across all site operations to enhance workplace safety awareness and practices
- Analyse Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) performance data, conditions, and practices to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Conduct WSH compliance inspections to verify adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Clarify WSH programme requirements to employees across departments to ensure consistent understanding and application
- Coach team members on conducting routine safety checks on work activities to maintain ongoing compliance and hazard prevention
- Conduct investigations into WSH incidents and accidents to determine causes and recommend corrective actions
- Review Workplace Safety and Health Management System (WSHMS) reports to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance
Required competencies and certifications
- Possess a WSH Safety Officer License
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Construction Industry
