How you’ll contribute to MyRepublic’s success:
System Infrastructure & Reliability
- Maintain and support backend systems for our telecommunications network, ensuring a target uptime of 99.9%.
- Manage internal cloud servers and storage infrastructure running Proxmox VE across multiple locations.
- Support daily infrastructure operations, troubleshoot system issues, and respond to technical queries from internal departments.
Security Monitoring & Incident Response
- Implement and manage monitoring solutions for core network functions to identify system issues and potential security threats.
- Analyse system and security logs, develop event correlation rules, and prepare reports for critical incidents.
- Design and implement solutions for timely incident alerting and security lifecycle management.
Vulnerability & Compliance Management
- Coordinate internal and external compliance audits and ensure timely completion of required activities.
- Work with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VA/PT) providers on asset scanning, vulnerability tracking, and remediation.
- Monitor emerging vulnerabilities and exploits, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and implement automation solutions using modern frameworks to improve operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to streamline system administration, monitoring, and incident response processes.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, cybersecurity developments, and industry best practices.
We think you’ll fit in great with us if you:
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in System Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a related role.
- Strong experience administering Linux-based operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as Proxmox VE, VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPN, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Experience with monitoring platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, ELK Stack, Splunk, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management, system hardening, security monitoring, and incident response.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools such as Bash, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
