As a Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant, you will be responsible for the following:
Supports the successful origination of residential mortgage loans by providing administrative, operational, and customer service support to loan officers. Responsible for managing borrower interactions, collecting and maintaining accurate loan documentation, tracking loan progression, and ensuring adherence to applicable lending regulations. Helps streamline workflows, maintain a healthy loan pipeline, and deliver a high-quality customer experience from application through closing.
Salary Range: This is an non-exempt position. The starting hourly range is $24.64-$30.80; however, actual placement within the range will be determined individually based on your experience relative to organizational needs and internal salary equity. Schedule: Normally works a weekday schedule, but may be required to work evenings, holidays, or weekends. Required to travel, including overnight travel, with or without advance notice Education/Experience: You must an associates degree or equivalent and three years of experience in mortgage lending, banking, or real estate are required. Keys to success: In order to be successful as a Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant you must possess these qualifications:
Knowledge of mortgage lending principles, products, processes, and regulations, including loan origination, processing, underwriting, closing, and secondary market requirements. Knowledge of applicable federal and state lending laws and compliance requirements, including HMDA reporting, consumer protection regulations, and fair lending standards. Knowledge of real estate transactions, mortgage documentation, and investor guidelines, including but not limited to; conventional, Federal Housing Administration (FHA), Veterans Affairs (VA), Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA), and Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (FHLMC) lending programs and automated underwriting systems. Skilled in reviewing, organizing, and maintaining loan documentation with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Skilled in delivering exceptional member service and building professional relationships, including responding to inquiries, resolving routine issues, and providing timely communication throughout the lending process. Proficiency in Loan Origination Systems (LOS), automated underwriting tools, Microsoft Office applications, and other business technologies required to support mortgage operations. Ability to effectively prioritize, organize, and manage multiple loan files, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with members, loan officers, real estate professionals, vendors, and other internal and external stakeholders.
