Maximum Term/Fixed Term (Fixed Term)

Here at BNZ, it's about more than just banking. We work together in an agile, energising environment to create innovative solutions though our promise "If you can imagine a better future, let's find a way."

We support wellbeing, flexible working and have a generous leave offering. No two days are the same.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We have an exciting 12 month fixed-term opportunity for you! We’re looking for a Content Designer to research, design, and implement customer-centric content for our digital channels. The role has a focus on our website.

In the UX Content Team, it's our job to be the voice of the customer. That means designing clear pathways to information, producing seamless content and flows, increasing digital activation and usage, and championing user research to make informed decisions.

We work flexibly, and wellbeing is a priority at BNZ. We look after each other, both in the bank and in the UX Content team, and you can always bring your whole self to work.

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?

  • Working closely with UX Designers, UX Researchers, Product Managers, and development teams to craft clear, accessible, digital experiences.
  • Attending project planning meetings and discovery workshops with stakeholders and wider team members.
  • Contributing to our content guidelines, processes, and design system.
  • Translating insights from user research and analytics into content solutions.
  • Editing and collaborating on content with team members.

What attributes will you need to be successful in this role?

  • The ability to think strategically about content, from an individual digital screen through to a systems level.
  • Expertise and experience in writing clear, concise micro-copy for digital channels.
  • A deep understanding of UX design and content principles, and best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and management skills.
  • An understanding of accessibility for digital channels.
  • Experience working with designers, researchers, and developers.
  • Being passionate about words and content strategy is a must!

What is the team culture and environment like?

The two most important ingredients are fun and passion – we’re a tight-knit crew who love the work we do. We enjoy each other's company, and share lots of coffees, laughs, and Wordles.

What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year?

This is an exciting time for the UX Content team. We've got a strong foundation and the next couple of years will be about building out our digital experiences and capabilities. You'll be working on fresh projects to help deliver industry-leading digital experiences.

Nau Mai ki te Pēke o Aotearoa | Come to the Bank of New Zealand

This is an exciting opportunity to join us! We're bold thinkers who are taking brave steps to create a company that people want to work for, and customers want to bank with. If you're ready to join a fun organisation where we are proud of our culture and how we are helping New Zealander's to 'Find their way', then show your interest by submitting your application - we can't wait to read it.

Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini" - Success is not the work of an individual, but the work of many.”

Closing Date: 02 November 2026

Applications will be reviewed regularly across the advertising period, but we do reserve the right to close applications early.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
