The posting

As a QA Analyst reporting to the Senior Director, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the software that powers Nasdaq's equities trading systems — validating that products meet functional, and regulatory standards in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

You'll thrive in this position if you're detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to build expertise in quality assurance while working alongside experienced engineers who will support your growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute quality control tests and analyses to verify that software meets specified standards, development requirements, and client expectations. Create and manage test data files to validate program logic, system flow, and edge-case scenarios. Collaborate with development and project teams to plan, complete, and document applicable test phases, including defect identification, tracking, and resolution. Administer and maintain quality standards for products and processes, including standard procedures and quality audits. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA workflows, leveraging automated testing frameworks and exposure to real-time financial systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 0–2 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing; internship or academic project experience counts. Proficiency or solid understanding of Python, including experience in pytest for writing and executing automated tests. Familiarity with operating systems such as macOS or Linux, and foundational concepts including client-server architecture, network protocols, and basic system administration. Understanding of cloud environments (e.g., AWS), Version control tools like Git and experience using bug tracking and documentation tools such as JIRA and Confluence. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to test automation frameworks (e.g., pytest) and test reporting tools (e.g., Allure). Familiarity with containerized environments such as Docker or Podman, used for spinning up and managing test environments. Experience or familiarity with AI-assisted development and testing tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar). ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.

This position will be located in New York City and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
