Software Engineering Manager, DryvIQ Team at Nasuni - C#.NET

Hyderabad, India | Hybrid — 3 days onsite

Role overview

Nasuni is expanding the DryvIQ engineering team in Hyderabad following our acquisition of DryvIQ, bringing intelligent content discovery, classification, sensitivity detection, and policy-driven governance into the Nasuni platform.

We're looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of approximately 4–7 Software Engineers building primarily backend services using C#/.NET, microservices, and distributed systems, with some React-based frontend development.

This is a technical people-leadership role. You'll stay close enough to the architecture and code to challenge designs, troubleshoot difficult problems, and raise engineering standards, while your primary accountability is building an effective engineering team and delivering reliable product outcomes.

This role is well suited to an engineering leader who still enjoys getting into technical details but measures success through the capability and results of the team.

Level and scope

You will own the engineering effectiveness, delivery, technical quality, and development of a product engineering team. You'll make and facilitate architecture and engineering decisions within your area, translate product priorities into executable technical plans, and partner closely with Product, SDET/QA Automation, Security, Operations, and global Nasuni engineering teams.

You will directly manage Software Engineers and work closely with SDET/QA Automation resources through a dotted-line partnership.

What you'll do

  • Lead, coach, and develop 4–7 Software Engineers while creating clear expectations for ownership, quality, collaboration, and growth.
  • Guide the design and evolution of C#/.NET backend microservices, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and distributed processing systems.
  • Stay technically engaged through architecture and design reviews, code reviews, debugging, incident analysis, and selective hands-on development.
  • Own team execution from planning through production, balancing roadmap delivery with reliability, maintainability, security, and technical debt.
  • Establish strong engineering practices around automated testing, CI/CD, observability, performance, secure development, and production readiness.
  • Partner with SDET/QA Automation to build quality into engineering workflows rather than treating testing as a downstream activity.
  • Develop systems that operate safely through partial failures, retries, rate limits, concurrency, backpressure, and changing workloads.
  • Partner across DryvIQ and Nasuni as the platforms become more deeply integrated, maintaining appropriate tenant isolation, permissions, auditability, and sensitive-data controls.
  • Hire and onboard engineers, provide actionable feedback, manage performance, and create development opportunities for the team.
  • Use approved AI-assisted engineering tools to improve areas such as development, testing, debugging, code review, incident analysis, and engineering workflows while ensuring outputs are appropriately validated for correctness, security, performance, and data sensitivity.

What success looks like

Within your first 90 days, you'll understand the DryvIQ architecture, establish trust with the engineering team and partners, and take ownership of team execution.

Within 6–12 months, the team should demonstrate stronger delivery predictability, engineering quality and production ownership while delivering meaningful DryvIQ/Nasuni integration outcomes.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful recent backend/product engineering depth.
  • 3+ years of direct people management or comparable sustained engineering-team leadership.
  • Strong hands-on background with C#/.NET and production backend services.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating microservices, distributed systems, or event driven architecture.
  • Demonstrated ownership of engineering delivery, architecture decisions, production quality, and technical tradeoffs.
  • Experience coaching engineers through technical and professional growth.
  • Strong collaboration across Product, QA/SDET, architecture, and geographically distributed engineering teams.

Preferred

  • B2B SaaS or enterprise software product experience.
  • Cloud-native development, containers, Kubernetes, messaging/event-driven systems, CI/CD, and observability.
  • Database experience including Posgres and Clickhouse
  • Experience leading teams responsible for high-volume data processing or complex integrations.
  • Working knowledge of React or modern frontend architecture.
  • Practical use of AI-assisted engineering and AI-Automation with disciplined validation.

Ideal

  • Content management, data governance, data security, classification, DLP, storage, information management, or repository/connector platforms.
  • Experience integrating an acquired technology or modernizing systems across platform boundaries.
  • Experience building teams during periods of rapid product and organizational change.

Experience guideline: Typically 10–15+ years overall, including 3–6+ years leading software engineers. Scope and demonstrated impact matter more than years alone.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
