The posting

Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their potential? Do you believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to develop the skills, confidence and independence needed for work and life?  We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Employability Coach to join our team at Greensteps in central Cheltenham and play a vital role in supporting learners to succeed, primarily in the classroom. You'll help students build their knowledge, develop essential life and work skills, and gain the confidence to progress towards greater independence as they prepare for adulthood.  You will have previous experience of working with people who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities ideally in an education, teaching assistant or care role as you will be assisting to provide practical employment coaching in education sessions to individuals or groups of students, as well as supporting them whilst they are on their placements. There may also be a requirement to providing elements of care /personal care assistance to students as required.  Good administration skills will also be vital to record and provide written reports on learners’ progress.  This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on learners' lives, supporting them on their journey from education into the world of work and helping them achieve their personal goals and outcomes.
