About Factory

Our mission is to create a world where software builds and improves itself.

We build the platform for self-improving software development, helping the world's largest enterprise engineering teams turn their organizations into autonomous software factories. Customers including Nvidia, Blackstone, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Palo Alto Networks, Adobe, and T-Mobile run Factory to ship code, review PRs, run tests, and deploy continuously - getting smarter with every cycle.

In 2026, we raised $200M at a $5B valuation, bringing our total funding to over $400M. We are backed by world-class investors and operators including Khosla Ventures, Sequoia, Blackstone, Ali Ghodsi (CEO of Databricks), and Frank Slootman (Former CEO of Snowflake).

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to build reliable, high-impact products at the frontier of AI and software development. You will own projects from idea to production, collaborate closely with product and design, and help define the technical foundations of Factory’s platform.

This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and wants to shape how the world’s leading engineering organizations build software.

What you will do and achieve

  • Design, build, and ship core product and platform capabilities.
  • Own projects across architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration.
  • Develop scalable systems, APIs, and user-facing experiences.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners to turn ambiguous problems into effective solutions.
  • Improve the reliability, performance, security, and observability of our systems.
  • Raise the engineering bar through thoughtful technical decisions, code reviews, and operational excellence.
  • Work directly with customers to understand their needs and deliver meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience building and operating production software.
  • Strong programming fundamentals and system design judgment.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages.
  • Experience working with databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
  • Ability to take ownership and deliver high-quality work with limited oversight.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements.
  • Interest in AI, developer tools, or the future of software engineering.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
