Aerospace is at a turning point — costs are rising, supply chains are strained, and old ways of building can’t keep up. At Neon Aero, we’re breaking that mold. We move fast, think big, and combine start-up agility with aerospace expertise to design, build, and scale aircraft in ways the industry has never seen. Our team leverages automation, AI-driven tools, and a fully connected digital backbone to accelerate innovation and reduce barriers to production.

  • Troubleshoot assembly and instrumentation issues, maintain accurate installation records, and protect configuration traceability.
  • Help small teams meet takt time and quality targets, improve work instructions, and mentor technicians.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Test in hands-on assembly and test environments, responding to changing program milestones.
  • Schedule and travel expectations: [Manager to confirm].

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of aircraft instrumentation, aerospace electrical installation, or aircraft assembly experience, including hands-on sensors and wiring.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, pinout tables, and installation instructions.
  • Experience in precision mechanical assembly, aircraft hardware, torque tools, measuring equipment, and wire fabrication and installation, including stripping, crimping, connector assembly, and soldering where specified.
  • Knowledge of sensor installation, shielding, grounding, strain relief, and wiring protection; ability to use multimeters and other diagnostic equipment for verification and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with AS9100 quality systems, configuration traceability, and documentation.
  • Experience leading small teams, meeting takt time and quality targets, improving work instructions, and mentoring, training, auditing, and certifying technicians.
  • Attention to detail, independent work, strong technical communication, cross-functional collaboration, problem solving, and willingness to cross-train.
  • Manual dexterity for precision installation and ability to work in aircraft assembly and test areas. [Manager to confirm additional essential physical requirements.]
  • Security and work authorization requirements: [Manager to confirm].

Preferred

  • Experience supporting prototype builds, component testing, or flight test programs.
  • Hands-on strain gauge installation and checks, including surface preparation, bonding, bridge wiring, and protective coatings.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems, signal conditioning, and sensor calibration.
  • Experience installing instrumentation on composite aircraft components.
  • Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 aerospace wiring and soldering workmanship standards.
  • Technical training in avionics, electronics, instrumentation, or aircraft maintenance.

Why Join Us

  • Work alongside elite engineering talent and innovators from across aerospace and tech.
  • Be part of a team moving faster than the industry standard.
  • Shape solutions that are lower-cost, autonomous, and scalable, the future of aviation.
  • Competitive compensation, including equity participation, growth opportunities, and full health benefits (health, vision, dental, 401(k)) designed to support you in and out of work.

This is the expected compensation range for this role. Final compensation will be based on role scope, experience, skills, internal equity and location. This role may also be eligible for bonus/equity/benefits, if applicable.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
