New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking a Corrosion Technician II for our Northern Division, to provide administrative and operational support to the Engineering Department, including the preparation and monitoring of work orders, processing construction permits and service orders, maintaining project documentation, and coordinating other essential back-office activities that support department objectives. Major Responsibilities
Create, maintain, and track construction work orders from project initiation through close-out, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established processes. Coordinate the routing of work orders and monitor project status updates throughout the project lifecycle. Process, track, and maintain construction permits, related documentation, and associated fee payments. Monitor work orders pending drafting completion and process as-built documentation for submission to Accounting. Prepare and process service orders related to construction projects, including conducting research to support accurate order creation. Generate and process department purchase orders, vouchers, and other financial transactions through company systems. Maintain inventory of office supplies and coordinate departmental purchasing needs. Track and reconcile construction project escrow accounts, partnering with staff and Accounting to resolve outstanding issues. Serve as a primary point of contact for customer, contractor, vendor, and employee inquiries, providing timely and professional support. Provide administrative support to department staff, including phone coverage, mail distribution, document preparation, and shipping coordination. Reconcile procurement card transactions and allocate expenses to the appropriate accounts within the company’s expense management system. Coordinate business travel arrangements, registrations, meeting logistics, and related documentation in accordance with company policies. Manage department conference room scheduling and support overall office organization and efficiency. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders while fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of administrative, office support, or project coordination experience required. Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated commitment to customer service. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively across teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel. Experience with work management, work order, or enterprise systems preferred; knowledge of JDE and/or UCIS is a plus. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing tasks and meeting deadlines.

Other Details:Location Type is Onsite Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $50,000- $67,500.Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.
